Survival shelter in France and more!

Survival shelter in France and more!

One late summer day a French survivalist contacted us asking questions about our Field Tarp Poncho M90. It was so that he intended to go to into the French woods to field test some gear and wanted to try the tarp out as well as a shelter. After deciding on the tarp he also ordered a NOMAD Jacket Green to go along as a windbreaker on the journey into the wild.

Sometime later we got the word back that the survivalist had been out on the field test and he included some really nice pictures in the mail. What he sent back was a bunch of pictures showing a cozy camp in dark autumn forest scenery lightened up by the campfire, the tarp made all glossy from the heavy rain and even worked as a water collector.

On the corners of the tarp small eyelets and flatband loops help you to put a stick there or use paracord to string it up.. or both! Using different techniques you can use the corners as a funnel for your water gathering for instance.

During the years it happens that we get pictures sent to us by customers using the tarp in different configurations and amongst the pictures below you find rain cover for one man hammock type and also used as base for a Swedish Homeguard Observation Post.

I also choose to include some photos of the Tarp/Poncho we had set up during photoshoot.

If you are sitting on pictures of our gear in use, please email them to info@tacupgear.com we would appreciate it!
