Tactical IR Glint Square´s

If you followed our earlier quest for infra-red patches you have found as a result a couple of excellent Sweden flag related designs but this left open space for a more usable patch when country recognition is not an issue or need to be enhanced at night but rather to be seen through IR optics by your patrol-buddies are!

Many of us have seen the hexagon type of very thin IR patches before on many types of infra-red visible patches and i am glad we now have the same type in our product line, a little thicker and sturdier but hexagon type non the less.

Now with the release of our Tactical Glint Square´s TUG can offer three different sizes to match your tactical baseball cap, rucksack, uniform and plate-carrier etc. I wanted to have a few different sizes as to be albe to be more flexible to the users needs so I finally decided on sizes 2×2 cm, 3×3 cm and 4×4 cm that will offer a broad range of usage.

The IR patches will come with a tougher/harder hook than what many are used to that is more suitable to act as platform for the black matte hexagon IR fabric and for extra sturdiness both hook fabric and IR fabric is sewn together.

Yes we do have a highly professional FLIR/IR compatible IFF ID patch in the webshop but the glint squares are smaller, all black, melts in on your uniform or backpack and only focus on infra-red visibility and are more usable for close patrolling purpose.

Even though the matte black glint squares are of tactical use let us not forget other usages for example put on your hiking kit or other outdoor clothes and rucksack! Who knows what situation you might end up in, possibly lost in the woods at night? suddenly need to be IR visible for search-parties with night-vision capabilities etc?

A search helicopter with night vision capabilities and infra-red searchlight could snatch a return reflection from the glint square and guide the rescuers to that point! Ok, these smaller glint´s might be better for closer range and the FLIR/ IR patch would be a considerable better choice if helicopters are involved! I leave that up to you to decide but doubtless your chances for being found are enhanced with any IR patch on the right place.

Anyway, the release of our own tactical glint squares takes TUG to yet another level in uniqueness on the Swedish market and continue to add value to those that needs to “tactically upgrade your gear” so do not hesitate and check them out!
