Sweden Subdued Flag OPS PVC Patches.

We recently started to look into the PVC/Rubber patches that is more and more common in the world forces arsenal of patches!

In a way such patches has a history of being a type of morale patches but are now becoming more accepted and even being implemented as full blown unit and country insignia.

Sweden is never in the forefront of such things so with this in mind and as a lot of customers has contacted us regarding our large Swedish flag patch wanting it in subdued colors (the small ones we carry was not big enough..) we turned and twisted the idea and came up with the thought of taking PVC/Rubber as fabric this time and use a similar design to the Swedish Armed Forces IR patch and merged them into a maxed out brand new patch.

Out came three flat relief designs in Black, Desert and Green colors and We choose to call them “OPS” as in “Operations” as these clearly would have a Operational niche, look and feel and most possibly be frowned upon as regular Swedish country insignia.. for the time being that is..;).

The subdued Swedish flags have this nice rubbery look and feel, almost armour looking and they are accentuated clearly with the text SWE (for Sweden) in a clear no noncence font in the right top area and they all have full hook backing for easy on and off as this type of patches always should have. You alse get a small matching loop piece with each patch!

The choice of coloration in black and grey will be great for both Military and Police and will give the operator a modern almost robotic amour look when worn as arm patch. The mellow almost goldish desert tones on the other hand will blend excellent with your M90K camouflage kit enhancing the look of your gear and at last the army green toned patch will put a clear “Sweden” statement to your green M90 camouflage kit.

We have grown quite fond of the size 75×45 cm for large flag patches so this is the case even here, with this size they are not to “big” and not to “small” to wear on helmets, arms or rucksacks etc.

It is our believe that the rubber type patches will expand to be recognized as “normal” unit and country insignia even in Sweden but the time has not come yet to take such vast steps within the structure.
