As you probably know we have under many years provided patches and products in the JÄGARE (Ranger) theme and it has been a bit controversial because of its proud wearers have earned their badges through tough selection and have required a lot of effort and in most cases they have only been awarded one badge to be worn on their uniforms which also adds to its high standard.
Many do not like to see the patches “free for all” but you would be surprised how many “old” Rangers contacting TUG asking us to provide extra patches they can wear on rucksacks, caps and other kit, mugs and folding cups so there has been both positive and negative feedback here – as said these are a close knitted proud community.
Someone sent a mail asking why only “biathlon” (Skidskyttet – as a cheeky hint to the northern rangers) was represented in our range of tab patches implying there was a need for stuff for the southern trained rangers which has a different coloration on their tab and we have listened to many more similar questions and feedback, that was why we decided on pushing this a bit further than normal this time and a few new patches are in the making as i write this, they will be released in a few weeks.
Many also asked us about more types of coffee and folding cups, and during the process of having them manufactured other similar cups are now (after or original release of cups last summer) already available on the net so in some light it will seem we are trying to “strong arm” us in, in some sort of competition offering a very “same” looking mug but that is not the case, it is more a weird twist of coincidence. During the time from the release of our original mug there has been a few asking for a black and yellow one and i then said it was unlikley they would be manufactured because mugs are not our core business.. But to many asked and we need to be open for changes so here they are now! (and they are great looking i might add!).
Yes, we might have reached an end regarding Jägare products, overdone it perhaps(!?) but the new items are made in a limited edition! Also there is a need to stress that the patches soon to be released are not approved from Swedish Armed Forces to wear as insignia but rather thought of to be an addition (as many out there seem to want) to your kit, be it off duty or as an old proud ranger.
